Reverend M. George and Rita Kallappa

George was born on the Makah Indian Reservation, located in Neah Bay, WA.  He and his nine siblings were raised in a life of alcoholism until shortly after his 19th  birthday.  He was then converted to Christ and called into the ministry.  He received his Bachelor of Theology degree from Seattle Bible Training School, and immediately entered into full-time ministry..  He has pastored churches in Lapwai, Idaho, Lower Elwha, WA, Metlakatla, AK., Mesa, AZ. and San Carlos, AZ., as well as having pioneered a Native church on the Haisla Reserve in Kitamaat, B.C..  He served as president of the Convocation of Christian Indian Leaders, and Central Indian Bible College in Mobridge, SD.  The remainder of his ministry has been as an evangelist to the Native Americans.  His ministry has taken him to 60 tribal groups.  He currently serves as an elder with WICONI, which is a ministry that uses culturally acceptable methods of presenting the Gospel.  George and Rita currently serve as pastors in Skokomish, WA.
